Ford Mustang Emblem (Gaiter)
It was April 1964 and the Ford Motor Co. was introducing their answer to Chevrolet's Corvette - the brand that had a head-start in the American sport-coupe category by more than a few years. And it was Lee Iaccoca's relationship with Carroll Shelby that brought another level of performance and 'street-cred' that the Mustang desperately needed in turning it into a Shelby GT350 and a ferocious competitor on the American road racing circuits. Legend has it that the horse logo was designed for both left and right, but settled on it running 'left' as an indication of it running 'west' on a map.
